To provide participants with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely store and handle gas cylinders.

 

On completion of this activity, participants will be able to demonstrate a competence in the theory and practice of the following:

 

•  Safe storage of gas cylinders

•  Safe handling of gas cylinders

•  Ergonomics of cylinders

•  Safe transportation of gas cylinders

•  Knowledge of relevant standards

•  Cylinders containing hazardous substances

•  Cylinder safety checks

and will be able to:

•  Appreciate the non-compatibility of substances.

•  Identify danger area
