To provide participants with the theoretical knowledge required to pass the Work Safe examination to obtain a Certificate of Competency
On completion of this activity, participants will be able to demonstrate a competence in the theory and practice of the following:
• Movement of plant and equipment • Steel erection • Particular hoist • Placement of pre-cast concrete • Safety nets and static lines • Mast climbers • Perimeter safety screens and shutters • Cantilevered crane loading platforms |
• Rigging cranes, conveyers, dredgers and excavators • Title-slabs • Demolition • Dual lifts • Rigging of gin poles and sheer legs • Flying foxes and cableways • Guyed derricks and structures • Suspended scaffolds and fabricated hung scaffolds |
Pre Requisites
Participants must have sufficient experience to be able to demonstrate competency and familiarity with offshore rigging operations
