To give participants the knowledge and skills to effectively perform the roles and functions as a Health and Safety Officer.

 

At the conclusion of this programme, participants will be registered in Vietnam as a Safety Officer with the Department of Labour – War Invalids & Social Affairs

 

The participants will have skills and knowledge in the following modules:

 

  1. Introduction to Health and Safety (1/2 Day)
  2. Legislation (2 1/2 Day)
  3. ( Presented by the Ho Chi Minh City department of The Ministry Of Labour Invalids and Social Affairs- MOLISA, at our Dong Xuyen facility, Vung Tau City )
  4. Risk Assessment and Hazard Identification (1 Day)
  5. Accident and Incident Investigation (2 Days)
  6. Hazard Materials Awareness (1 Day)
  7. Health and Safety Auditing (1 Days)
  8. Ergonomics and Manual Handling (1 Day)
  9. Basic First Aid (1 Day)

 

Course Duration

The Health and Safety Officers Course is ten (10) days in duration. The course can be extended dependant on the industry or company requirements. Course extensions can be made up of a selection of the following courses, dependant upon the clients requirements.

 

  1. Rigging and Slinging Safety Awareness (1 Day)
  2. Gas Cylinder Handling (1/2 Day)
  3. Personal Protective Equipment – PPE (1/2 Day)
  4. Power Tool Safety (1/2 Day)
  5. Welding Safety (1 Day)
  6. Helicopter Landing Officer (2 Days)
  7. Communication Skills (1/2 Day)
  8. Introduction to Major Emergency Management (1/2 Day)
  9. Basic Emergency Management and Evacuation Warden
  10. (shore based only) (1 Day)
  11. Permit To Work – Generic (1/2 Day)
  12. Introduction to SOLAS (1/2 Day)
  13. First Aid Courses (2 Day, Intermediate) (3 Day, Advanced) (4 Day, First Responder)
  14. Hydrogen Sulphide (H 2 S) Awareness (1/2 Day)
  15. Confined Space Entry (2 Days) Confined Space Hazard Awareness Gas Testing SCBA (for Class 1 Authorised gas Tester)
  16. Train the Trainer (2 Days)

 

Method of Training

  1. This course will be conducted at SEATAG Offshore Safety Training Centre in Vietnam , and will utilise formal presentations, group discussions, group exercises, case studies and practical simulated exercises.
